Tag Locations Map & Guide
In previous GTA games, players collected Hidden Packages to unlock money and weapons. GTA San Andreas is significantly larger than its predecessors and introduces a plethora of new collectible types.
There are 250 collectible items altogether and 100 of them are completed by spray painting over gang tags on the walls of Los Santos, San Andreas.
I strongly recommend you work through the tags in numerical order and don't skip ahead so that you can check them off as you go. It's very time consuming go through every location again to find one you've missed.

Spraying Tags
While you'll learn about spraying tags very early in the story through Sweet's mission 'Tagging Up Turf', you can actually begin spraying tags immediately from the start of the game.
There is a spray can on the roof of a garage behind CJ's house. Jump across nearby rooftops or use a vehicle to climb up and grab it to start hunting down the gang tags.

Sweet will spray this one for you on the mission 'Tagging Up Turf', but it's just across some grass on the side of a bridge.

This will be the first tag you'll spray during the mission 'Tagging Up Turf'. It's on the front of a small blue house.

Rewards
Once you've sprayed over all 100 gang tags in Los Santos, you'll unlock 4 weapons at CJ's moms house; Micro SMG, AK-47, Sawn-Off Shotgun and Molotov Cocktail. These weapons will respawn every time you exit and re-enter the house essentially giving you a way to grab lots of ammo for free.
